Islamabad: In a significant diplomatic move, Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan signed multi-billion-dollar Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to fortify strategic cooperation.

Several MoUs were signed to recognize and strengthen the long-lasting friendly ties between the two countries. The agreements, facilitated by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), cover investment cooperation in different sectors, including port operations, energy, food security, wastewater treatment, minerals, logistics, banking, and financial services.

PM Kakar reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the UAE’s Presidency for COP 28. He also emphasized the significance of the signed deals to make substantial progress in mitigating climate impact, including establishing the Loss and Damage Fund.
