Safe City Projects Extend to Rawalpindi, 3 More Divisions

Lahore: The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and Punjab Police have joined forces to launch highly sophisticated, safe city projects in Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and Gujranwala.

During a meeting chaired by PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf, the launch and progress of several initiatives were discussed. These projects mainly employ artificial intelligence for facial recognition, automated number plate recognition (ANPR), and tag and trace systems to combat crime efficiently. The meeting also had the presence of PITB Additional Director General Qasim Afzal, Chief Technology Officer Adil Iqbal Khan, and other key officials.
