Chitral-Shandur Road's Construction Begins After 40 Years

After 40 years, the construction work of Upper Chitral and Shandur Road has been handed over to NHA (National Highway Authority) after federalization, which got sentiments of bliss and happiness among the people of the region.

Some 40 years ago, the Booni road was built by a Chinese construction company but no work was anticipated on that road by Communication and Works department. Now NHA has been allotted its construction and work is being advanced with an enthusiastic conclusion.

Moreover, the construction of these roads would not just result in a reduced digit of casualties by delivering transport facilities to the people but it will also play a significant role in the development of the tourism sector in this backward district.

As per the official statement, the entire length of this highway under the management of the National Highway Authority NHA is 153 km and its width is 42 feet.
