Exports of Pakistan’s Sports Goods Increases by 314.8 Million in Five Months

When compared to the same period last year, sports goods exports increased by 24.48 percent in the first five months of the current fiscal year (2021-22). According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, Pakistan exported sporting goods worth $134.803 million from July to November 2021-22, up from $108.296 million from July to November 2020-21. This represents a 24.48 percent increase (PBS).

Football exports climbed by 19.34 percent this year, rising from $53.354 million last year to $63.671 million this year. Exports of gloves increased by 12.90 percent, from $28.056 million last year to $31.676 million this year, according to PBS statistics.

Similarly, all other sports products exports climbed by 46.75 percent from $26.886 million last year to $39.456 million this year. Meanwhile, the export of sports items increased by 39.47 percent year over year in November 2021 as compared to the same month the previous year.

The exports from the country stood at $12.344 billion during July-November (2021-22) against the exports of $9.744 billion recorded during July-November (2020-21), showing growth of 26.68 percent.
