Lahore: CBD Punjab has introduced the “Blue Road Concept” in Lahore to improve and improvise infrastructure in Lahore. The initiative will make the provincial capital the first Asian city to adopt the Blue Road Concept.
According to the details, Blue Roads aim to provide a sustainable and eco-friendly alternative to traditional asphalt roads. The ultra-modern technology integrates energy-conserving & heat observation features to promote a healthy environment and reduce pollution.
The Central Business District officials said that the CEO of CBD personally keeps track of the construction work speed on CBD Boulevard. The CEO will make sure that the project is delivered on time.
Furthermore, it is said that the road utilizes a specialized coating that reflects sunlight and minimizes the heat amount absorbed by the surface of the road. Additionally, the reflective coating is helpful for drivers in better visibility at night, which is crucial for road safety.
The CEO of CBD, Mr. Imran Amin said that the Blue Road concept has proven successful in many Middle Eastern and European countries like Qatar, France and Netherlands.
