LMC Launches Online Portal for Modernized Map Collection

Lahore: The Lahore Metropolitan Corporation (LMC) has launched a new online portal, taking a significant step towards modernizing the collection of maps for houses, shops, and commercial buildings.

Under the guidance of Municipal Secretary Dr. Ahmad Javaid Qazi, the LMC has been assigned the responsibility of developing this online platform and its associated system. A Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) representative has been appointed as the Municipal Chief Information Liaison (MCIL) to ensure a smooth transition.

This move is part of a broader strategy to tackle illegal construction in the provincial capital. A dedicated squad will be established to collaborate with municipal authorities in enforcing regulations and preventing encroachments.

In addition, the first phase of training for planning department officers on utilizing the new portal has been completed. This initiative represents a shift from traditional paper-based maps to electronic submissions, streamlining the entire process from district to zone level.

The introduction of the online portal marks a significant milestone in Lahore’s urban development efforts, promising increased efficiency and transparency in map collection procedures. For the latest Real Estate News and Blogs, visit Realtorspk blogs.
