پاکستان اور شام کے درمیان تجارتی معاہدے طے پا گیا۔ مشیر تجارت عبدالرازاق داؤد نے بتایا کہ پاکستان کی جانب سے شام میں پاکستانی سفیر سعید محمد خان اور شامی وزیر اقتصادیات و بیرونی تجارت ڈاکٹر ثمر الخلیل نے معاہدے پر دستخط کیے ہیں۔ عبدالرازاق داؤد کا کہنا ہے کہ دونوں ممالک کے درمیان معاہدے کے تحت مشترکہ ورکنگ گروپ قائم کیا جائے گا۔اقوام متحدہ کے بین الاقوامی تجارت کے ڈیٹا بیس کے مطابق 2020 کے دوران شام کو پاکستان کی برآمدات 25.53 ملین امریکی ڈالر تھیں
