Peshawar: The Planning and Development Department and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KPEZDMC) have signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) to set up an Inclusive Business Development Park (IBDP) in Peshawar.
Primary goal of establishing the park is to build a healthy working environment and offer opportunities for economic development for medium-size, micro, and small businesses.
The MoU was signed between Mr. Imran Zahoor, the Planning and Development Project Director of the Khyber Pass Economic Corridor, and Mr. Javed Khattak, Chief of KPEZDMC.
According to the details of the MoU, the Business Development Park will be set up at Hayatabad Economic Zone.
The development park aims to be gender-inclusive. Hence it will support the establishment of enterprises by men, women, transgender individuals, and differently-abled persons. A management committee will be created to run things smoothly at Business Development Park.
The IDBP will stress promoting home-based business and will participate in the efforts of a sustainable and better economy for all.
