PITB's E-Stamping Surpasses PKR 351 Billion Mark

Islamabad: The e-stamping system, launched in May 2016, has exceeded all revenue generation expectations by accumulating over PKR 351 billion in profits

During the progress review meeting chaired by the Chairman of the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), Faisal Yousaf, it was reported that revenue has been generated through the e-stamping system since its launch.

The PITB Director General (DG) e-Governance Sajid Latif informed the meeting attendees that the number of e-stamp papers issued to date was more than 18.3 million. The Chairman of PITB strongly emphasized the positive impact of e-stamping, highlighting that the system has digitized the issuance of stamp papers, thereby eliminating paper-based and fraudulent practices while significantly enhancing transparency.

The e-stamping system is an outstanding and noteworthy project of the Punjab government executed in collaboration with the Board of Revenue. Its primary objective is to automatically calculate the value of the required stamp paper for the buyer.
