Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority – CDA has postponed the completion deadline for a project on Margalla Avenue with E-11. The linking road project’s new deadline is 30 October 2023. The construction agency is confident that the work will be completed by the deadline.
According to the details of the 5.5 Km road project, the link road will include an interchange and the project is estimated to be completed in 4 billion. The project was started on Dec 2022 and was supposed to be completed within 6 months, i.e., June 2023. However, the engineering wing of the working agency argued for the short timeline and declared it unrealistic.
The project completion date was extended to August and is now extended to October 30. It was stated that the work was delayed due to land possession issues, relocation of services and rain. However, the progress of work is now at full speed.
It is pertinent to note that the project was awarded to the National Logistics Cell (NLC) last year against a bid of 4 million rupees (approximately).
