The tower was designed by renowned Russian-born architect “Nasreddin Murat Khan.” The construction work of Minar-e-Pakistan started in 1960 and ended on 21st October 1968. The minaret’s foundation stands 8 meters above the ground. The majestic structure reaches 62 meters above a base shaped like a star. This adds up to a total elevation of 70 meters from the ground.
